Longmont Times-Call business editor Tony Kindelspire wrote a story about local seniors buying prescription drugs from Canada in defiance of US law. Unable to find a source willing to be photographed to accompany his story, we developed an idea for an illustration showing pills from Canada trickling down into the United States.
I created the illustration in Freehand and Photoshop and designed the page. In 2004 the page won a Society for News Design Award of Excellence.
